Douglas D. Osheroff,1945-
An American physical scientist
Professor at Stanford University, won the Nobel Prize in physics together with David M. Lee and Robert C. Richardson for the discovery of the super-fluidity of 3He in 1996.

The super-fluidity and super-conductivity are both the special characters of matter presented in the super low temperature. The super-fluidity and super-conductivity not only have important significance in science and indicate the macroscopic and microcosmic unification, but also lead to the great advance in technology; especially the super-conductivity has been used in all fields including scientific research, industrial production and daily living extensively at present. The people expect to realize the power transmission and strong magnetic field without energy waste.

3He can be used as the nuclear fusion material and release huge energy in the nuclear fusion reaction almost without any radioactive pollution. The energy from the fusion of 5Kg 3He is equal to that from the Daya Bay nuclear power station, and the energy from the fusion of 10 tons of 3He can supply the energy needed by China in 1 year. The 3He stored richly in the moon can solve the energy problem of mankind in the future as the nuclear fusion material.
