According to report of Nobel official website, Nobel committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences RSAS awarded the Nobel Prize in physics 2004 to three USA scientists David J. Gross, H. David Politzer and Frank Wilczek. Total cash award of single item in this year was 10M Swedish Kronor(about US$1,360,000).

In the proclamation of awarding these three scientists with the Nobel Prize in physics, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences RSAS declared that they were awarded for their contribution to quark particle theory. Quark is the minimum elementary particle in the nature. The research on quark by these three scientists made it more nearer to the dream that quark constructs everything.
