In afternoon of October 10, Local Time of Sweden (Night, October 10, Beijing Time), King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden presented Nobel Literature Prize in 2001 with Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul, an emigrated writer in British .
Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul is one of the contemporary British emigrated writers with great achievements. His many works, such as Miguel Street, A Bend in the River and A Flag on the Island etc won plenty of key literature prizes of British, such as Somerset Maugham Award and Man Booker Prize etc, and was investitured as cavalier by Queen of British in 1990. Sweden Royal Literature Institution said: "his works integrate the insightful narration with the quest that undisturbed by common customs, which is a kind of real driving dynamics for us to probe into truth from distorted history."
