Zhang Lei learned from the press conference held today that The 2006 Nobel Prize Forum will open in September 11-14 at Beijing. Thus, the 9 Nobel Prize winner including Robert Mundell, Walter Kohn, Carlo Rubbia and other famous scientists and chairman of institutes will discuss around the topic "resource and environment", especially on resource and environment developing, world changing and save energy- reduce emission.
The forum will include the opening ceremony, resource and environment strategy and academic forum, save energy- reduce emission forum, theme exhibition and trip to relevant institutes, high schools and middle schools. During the forum, more than 50 lectures will be gave by 15 foreign guests; the topic including Conflict between resource and environment: vicious circle to fine circle, Science, society and long-lasting development, ways to set environment protecting responsibilities.
The forum will be hold be CAS and Beijing Municipal Government. The holder wants to improve the understanding of the domestic academic circle and business circle on the international resource and environment developing situation, enhance the cooperation between China and foreign countries, make reference for the policy setting and strategy research, also improve the understanding of such area in the public.
