The Nobel Prize in Physics

The Nobel Prize in Physics is one of the Nobel Prizes in which the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is responsible for the selection. On December 10 each year, the day of the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, it is announced and awarded in Stockholm Concert Hall. This prize is intended for the person who, in the physics field, has made the greatest contribution or the most important discovery in the previous year.
The following organizations and individuals are entitled to nominate the candidates of the Nobel Prize in Physics:
Swedish or foreign members of the Royal Swedish of Sciences; members of the Nobel Prize Physics Committee; laureates of previous Nobel Prize in Physics; permanent or temporary physics professors in Uppsala University, Lunds University, University of Oslo, University of Copenhagen, University of Helsinki, Karolinska Institutet and Royal Institute of Technology, and physics teachers registered in Stockholm University; professors with similar qualification from at least other six university selected by the Royal Academy of Sciences; other scientist deemed qualified and necessary invited by the Royal Academy of Sciences at its own judgment.
