Twelve Women Won Nobel Peace Prize in History

Chinanews.com, October 8th, 2004:It was reported by Routers that Wangari Maathai,the vice minister of ministry of environment and nature resources of Kenya, as announced by Sweden Nobel Committee on 8th, was awarded the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize for her contribution in sustainable development, democracy and peace. Maathai, therefore, was the 12th female winner in the history of Nobel Peace Prize.
The other eleven female winners of Nobel Peace Prize since the first foundation of Nobel Prize in 1901 are as follows:
